Domaine de Capiès is a place to escape to in the south of France, thirty minutes from Carcassonne. The beautiful old stone farmhouse and barns are a collection of cottages, simply styled, with breathtaking, south-facing views over vineyards and hills. A twenty metre pool stretches to the horizon. We are passionate about great local food and wine. We serve supper on Friday evenings, open to all, and wood-fired pizza and wine on Sundays. There is a peaceful woodland area with hammocks, a big trampoline in the play-area, chickens, a vegetable garden and stunning walks from the doorstep. Capiès is in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by beauty, space and wildlife. There are no shops within easy walking distance! The cottages are open all year, subject availability.

The cottages are simple in design. They incorporate the original farmhouse build with whitewashed walls and furniture sourced locally from brocantes or handmade. They all have kitchens, private BBQ and terraces, comfortable king-sized beds, 100% cotton linen, towels, and organic soaps. There is wifi connection in the Barn, and in Etoile, Marin and Jasmin. The wifi is not particularly fast.

Food is at the heart of life at Domaine de Capiès.

On Fridays, we serve a seasonal set supper around long tables, and on Sundays, wood-fired sourdough pizzas, open to guests and locals alike. We have a bar with local wine, craft beer from BDQ Beer Co. and soft drinks.

For our in-house guests, there is a pool table in the 'cave'.  By the pool there is a large table with white concrete sofas, a perfect spot for early evening drinks before the sun goes down. Each morning you can order a breakfast basket. (Breakfast is not included in the price of the gîte) Book an Arrival Simple Supper with Tilly before your stay, and relax from the moment you get here!
